  22. I'd need to know what FTP package your using in order to make an educated
  23. comment, but here are some generic thing you can try:

  25.     Insert a hyphen as the first character of the email address that 
  26.     your FTP software is sending as your password.  This will turn off the 
  27.     display of the .message files on the deamon side that sometimes confuse 
  28.     automated FTP clients.
  29.  
  30.     Replace the email address that your FTP software sends for the 
  31.     password with a carriage return.  This will rule out any possible
  32.     reverse resolution problems with your email address.  You should
  33.     get the response, "'' is not valid.  Please use a valid email
  34.     address next time....".  The FTP daemon will then let you in.
